Power Sequencing Requirements
The V

5REF signal must be tied to 5V in a system requiring 5V tolerance. In a 5V tolerant system, V

. In a non-5V tolerant system (3.3V only), this signal
can be tied directly to V

. In this case, there are no sequencing requirements. Refer to Figure 2 for an
example circuit schematic which may be used to ensure the proper V

(CPU) power plane is tied to either 2.5 volts or 3.3 volts, depending on the voltage level of the CPU
interface. In a system that ties this power plane to 2.5 volts, the V

(CPU) pins must power up after or
simultaneous to V

. At any time, V

should not be more
than 1.2 volts below the V
CC
(CPU) plane. VCC(SUS) can power up and power down independent of all other
power planes.
