Timer 0 of timer 2 can be used to output square wave-
forms of optional frequency and optional duty. The output
pulses can be either low-active or high-active. Timers 0
and 3 cannot be used when this mode is set.
When timer 0 is used, the output goes to TO1 (also
used as P66) and when timer 2 is used, the output
goes to TO3 (also used as P67).
Timer 0 will be used for explanatory purposes. (Operation
is the same with timer 2.)
This mode outputs a programmable square waveform
by inverting the timer output each time the 8-bit up
counter 0 (UC0) matches timer registers (TREG0 and
TREG1.
It is necessary, however, to satisfy the condition
(TREG0 setting value) < (TREG1 setting value).
The timer 1 up counter (UC1) cannot be used in this
mode but timer 1 can be used for counting by setting
TRUN <T1RUN> = 1.
Figure 3.8 (12) shows the block diagram for this mode.
