4.4.2.1
The integrated framer searches for the frame alignment pattern ’111010000’ in each of
the seven DS2 frames which are contained in a DS3 signal. Frame alignment is
declared, when the framer has found three consecutive correct frame alignment signals.
If the frame alignment signal has been received incorrectly in one of the following frames
after the receiver found the first correct frame alignment signal a new frame search is
started.
Loss of frame is declared, when four consecutive frame alignment signals have been
received incorrectly.
