6. INSTRUCTION SET
The V

4100’s instructions consist of 1 word (32 bits) located on a word boundary. The instruction format has
three types as shown in Figure 7-1. Decoding of instructions is simplified by having only three format types.
Complicated and infrequently used operations and addressing modes are realized by compilers.
