These microcontrollers feature an 8-bit CPU, I/O ports, timers, a serial interface, A/D converters, interrupt control
circuits, and EEPROM
The

PD78F9217Y differs from the
μ
PD789216Y and
μ
PD789217Y in that it uses flash memory rather than internal
masked ROM.
Flash memory can be written or erased electrically without having to remove it from board. Therefore, the
μ
PD78F9217Y is best suited for prototypes in system development, low-volume production, or systems likely to be
upgraded frequently.
