Serial Interface
Two channels of serial interface are on chip.
USB function
The
μ
PD789800 supports 1.5 Mbps transfer speed with the system clock of 6.0 MHz and incorporates an NRZI
(Non Return Zero Invert) decode/encode function, bit stuffing function, and CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check)
function specified by the USB (Universal Serial Bus) communication protocol.
Figure 5-5 shows a block diagram.
Serial interface 10 (SIO10)
SIO10 has the following two modes:
Operation stop mode
Three-wire serial I/O mode (The first bit can be switched between the MSB and LSB.)
