1.3.3 Clustering Example
Figure 1.4 illustrates how servers share the same storage within a
cluster. When a server fails, the other server ensures data availability to
client workstations (often transparently to client applications). The
SYM53C141 SCSI Bus Expanders create distinct SCSI segments that
are electrically isolated from each other. The SYM53C141 SCSI Bus
Expander logical disconnection feature aids in the failure recovery
process. Cluster configuration improves data availability, fault tolerance,
and performance.
