27.7.4 Communication commands
The
μ
PD78F0134 and 78F0138 communicate with the dedicated flash programmer by using commands. The
signals sent from the flash programmer to the
μ
PD78F0134 or 78F0138 are called commands, and the commands
sent from the
μ
PD78F0134 or 78F0138 to the dedicated flash programmer are called response commands.

The flash memory control commands of the
μ
PD78F0134 and 78F0138 are listed in the table below. All these
commands are issued from the programmer and the
μ
PD78F0134 and 78F0138 perform processing corresponding to
the respective commands.
Table 27-8. Flash Memory Control Commands
Classification
Command Name
Function
Verify
Batch verify command
Compares the contents of the entire memory
with the input data.
Erase
Batch erase command
Erases the contents of the entire memory.
Blank check
Batch blank check command
Checks the erasure status of the entire memory.
High-speed write command
Writes data by specifying the write address and
number of bytes to be written, and executes a
verify check.
Data write
Successive write command
Writes data from the address following that of
the high-speed write command executed
immediately before, and executes a verify
check.
Status read command
Obtains the operation status
Oscillation frequency setting command
Sets the oscillation frequency
Erase time setting command
Sets the erase time for batch erase
Write time setting command
Sets the write time for writing data
Baud rate setting command
Sets the baud rate when UART is used
Silicon signature command
Reads the silicon signature information
System setting, control
Reset command
Escapes from each status
The
μ
PD78F0134 and 78F0138 return a response command for the command issued by the dedicated flash
programmer. The response commands sent from the
μ
PD78F0134 and 78F0138 are listed below.
