In the example call, the file descriptor (

) is loaded into

service is invoked. If the service returns an
error status in

wait_err
label. If the
operation is accepted,

will contain the completion status upon return from
the service. This example jumps to reinvoke the service if the operation is not
yet complete. This is equivalent to issuing a
iowait
service with a
mode
value
of 2, specifying that the operation should block until the operation is complete.
A more complex program might perform some useful work before retrying the
operation.
