When the electronic volume function is not used, how should the input terminals be connected
Answer:
When the electronic volume function is not used, connect the electronic input terminals as follows:
-
Pull down the VDIN terminal to VSS.
-
Pull up the VCLK terminal to VIN.
-
Pull up the VSTRB terminal to VIN. (Set the pull-up or pull-down resistance at up to 1 M
.)
Under these conditions, the output voltage is fixed at the lowest value for each product (the voltage is
fixed to 18 V for S-8330A30FS) and the maximum value of the output voltage is 18 V even for S-
8330A30FS, which provides the highest output voltage.
When a voltage higher than 18 V is required, it is necessary to add a voltage build-up circuit using an
external resistor. For details, refer to “Power Supply for driving large-scale LCD panels” included in the
application circuits on the data sheet for the S-8330/8331 series.
