17.1 Flash Memory Programming
The on-chip program memory in the
μ
PD78F9436 and 78F9456 is a flash memory.
The flash memory can be written with the
μ
PD78F9436 and 78F9456 mounted on the target system (on-board).
Connect the dedicated flash writer (Flashpro III (part no. FL-PR3, PG-FP3)) to the host machine and target system to
write the flash memory.
Remark
FL-PR3 is made by Naito Densei Machida Mfg Co., Ltd.
17.1.1 Selecting communication mode
The flash memory is written by using Flashpro III and by means of serial communication. Select a communication
mode from those listed in Table 17-2. To select a communication mode, the format shown in Figure 17-1 is used.
Each communication mode is selected by the number of V
PP
pulses shown in Table 17-2.
