5.5 Watchdog Timer
5.5.1 Watchdog timer functions
The watchdog timer has the following functions.
(1) Watchdog timer
The watchdog timer is used to detect a program runaway. If a runaway is detected, either a non-maskable
interrupt or the RESET signal can be generated.
(2) Interval timer
The interval timer is used to generate interrupts at preset intervals.
