POR and UVLO
The MAX1755/MAX1756 have volatile memory. To pre-
vent power-supply conditions from corrupting the data
in memory and causing erratic behavior, a POR voltage
detector monitors V
CC
and clears the memory if V
CC
falls below 1.5V (typ, see the
Electrical Characteristics
).
When power is first applied and V
CC
rises above 1.5V
(typ), the logic blocks begin operating, although the
address decoder is not enabled until V
CC
> UVLO volt-
age. The UVLO comparator prevents the DAC and tem-
perature comparator from operating until there is suffi-
cient headroom (V
