Figure 8 shows the serial interface operating timing at reading Messages (example case:
μP issues Get_Message Command).
1. When the PE holds Messages, MSG will be set to MSG = H. Upon receipt, the μP
should issue Get_Message Command.
2. The μP will first set CMD to CMD = H in issuing a Command.
3. By changing SCK to H
→
L
→
H, Command ID (Get_Message) should be output to SI.
After outputting Command ID, SCK should be fixed at SCK = H.
4. CMD will be set to CMD = L, waiting for RDY to become RDY = H.
5. By changing SCK to H
→
L
→
H, Message length (Length) should be read in from SO.
After reading in, SCK should be fixed at SCK = H.
6. Wait for RDY to become RDY = H.
7. By changing SCK to H
→
L
→
H, Message identification (MID) should be read in from
SO. After reading in, SCK should be fixed at SCK = H.
