The FO-FC fiberoptic LC front shell enables a direct optical
connection between an FC connector that is mounted on the rear
shell installed in the equipment side, and an LC plug that has a
different ferrule diameter (FC connector diameter: 2.5mm; LC plug
diameter: 1.25mm). The use of a precise zirconia ceramic split sleeve
insert ensures low insertion loss and high durability.
By mounting the LC front shell to the cleanable adapter rear shell,
an LC-type optical connector with a 1.25mm ferrule diameter can be
connected. Additionally, the LC front shell is available with either a
vertical or horizontal key direction, as appropriate for the rear-side
connector.
